For a child with adaptive requirements, bike riding is far more than a recreational experience. Bike riding offers a source of much-needed exercise and provides therapeutic value while contributing to an inclusive environment where a child with special needs can ride a bike like everyone else.

Taking the same design features on our famous adult trikes, we recently introduced the all new TR16 Series of Developmental Youth Trikes. The TR16-FD features a folding frame for easy storage and take-along ability, short frame style with easy step-on, comfortable padded saddle, adjustable handlebars and seat post, rear basket and much more. The sturdy 16"x1.75" wheels give this cycle a low center of gravity for excellent balance. The TR16-FW features a front caliper (hand) brake . This is a FFREEWHEEl Version, meaning pedal forward, go forward, pedal backwards and the pedals spin freely backwards.. Ideal for training a rider and easy control of the cycle . This trike is fantastic. It is a well built, quality trike, and looks great. Our 6 yr. old special needs grandson LOVES it. The trike is so stable and responsive, however, it turns so quickly we have had a couple crashes on quick turns, but this kid is all boy and loves to go fast so he has a learning curve to master. I am looking for an adaptation for the handlebars since he can't use his right hand due to a stroke. His physical therapist is already seeing the benefits of riding this bike as he strengthens his leg muscles; and its only been 3 weeks. He rides it every chance he gets. Thank you for your awesome product. We will be back for another trike when he outgrows this one.
