Worksman SIDE-BY-SIDE "Electric Lightning " Trike SBST-3CB-HB - LIGHTNING Electric
This bike is too cool for words! We enjoy riding together and this is the perfect way to do it! The electric assist is so unbelievably useful. It's going to make driving around Burning Man a breeze. All of our issues are with the way the company handled and implemented this order, the bike itself is fantastic. The company forgot to send the canopy, so they had to Priority rush one to us that has their name in large print branded down one side! We are a bit shocked and upset that after paying almost $4000 for this bike, we are forced to advertise for them on the canopy. Know that I will be covering it ASAP. Also, it looks like they didn't wait for the paint to fully dry before wrapping it up for shipping, so now we have a fairly sizable flaw in the paint on the front driver side of the base. There are also shockingly little instructions on how to put the whole thing together. For the money spent, I really expected better.
Dorothy and I got our trike in Feb. We got the 48 volt battery. We are 88 and 84 years old. We live in Dunedin, Fl. near Honeymoon Island and the Pinellas Trail. We have rode up to Tarpon Springs and used 1/3 of the battery. The fastest we have gone is 20 mph. We have rode 144 miles since Feb. I am getting a extra battery so we can ride longer and further. We plan on riding to Clearwater Beach when we get our extra battery. It would be nice if they could get a suspension system it gets rough sometimes. I wish they would put longer ties for the canopy and add some to the center for the sides, front and rear as the wind blows up the canopy sometimes. We don't like to stop riding once we get out. We ride Publix's for shopping and also ride to recycle. It's a great trike and so much fun to ride. I got the 3rd arm for the center. I put 2 left arms and 1 right arm. They have to split a pair of arms to get a left or right for the center. We get a lot of thumbs up yeas. Thanks for Al

We just ordered this trike on July 1, 2020 through Workman Cycles 🚲. I don't have a review just yet, we are suppose to pick the trike up July 20,. We were thinking about getting a golfcart but realized some RV campgrounds don't allow personal golfcarts. We need something to get from here to there when camping. We decided to go with the Electric Trike. I will post more on reviews after we actually get it and try it out. Can't hardly wait. Had to rate stars so give a 5 star rating, I'm hoping to keep that rating after we use it.
I race bikes so this review might sound funny coming from me? But I should of got one of these a long time ago. What a great transportation. I love the elec. Motor. I build recumbent bikes and love them. Thus is much like them. It is nice to just stop a enjoy the scenery. In those very comfortable seats. It is so quiet you can hear the birds. Also very well thought out and quality built. I tried hard to tip it over and never got one wheel off the ground. Wow! Seems like we could ride this forever? Thanks for such a great product at a very good price.(well worth the money)
This side by side has really given my wife and I a great way to spend the day biking, but still be together and chat rather than yelling back and forth on separate bikes. We weren't expecting it to be so heavy, so can't imagine not having 3 speeds... Plus the electric assist is a godsend when we get tired or are going up a long grade. The engineering of this bike is well thought out with the split rear axle and easily adjustable seats and steering column. One item we didn't order that I am going to get - the second set of arm rests. I didn't think we would miss the inside rests but we did. If I could change one thing, it would be to add some sort of cruise control, or at the very least a thumb throttle. The twist throttle is tiring to hold over long periods. The electric assist is made by a third party manufacturer so not a workman issue. Last thing, a pie in the sky type request.... some sort of suspension option would be nice.
We have a bike rental shop in Iowa on the High Trestle Trail. This is our third Worksman. The electric assist will be very beneficial for people with challenges who need an occasional extra boost. The heavy duty worksmanship is a very important quality.
Built like a tank! We went 12 miles on one charge with intermediate pedaling on a flat surface. Lots of smiles and double takes from the other bikers on the trail. We had a few problems with the bike, but they took care of it. Excellent customer service! The welds are functional, not beautiful. Don't order the cup holders. Everything else was A-OK. Top speed is about 12 MPH. Handles moderate inclines with ease. Hills require pedal assist. We are happy with the bike overall. We both have issues with balance and this was a way to continue to ride and not worry about crashing.
