Classic Truck Bike, with unique "Steer-tru" system, large "fixed to frame" perforated steel cargo basket, and built in parking stand. 20 x 2.125 front wheel, 26x2.125 rear wheel

Mens Low Gravity Bike w/ Basket. Classic Delivery Bike that has been seen from the streets of New York to the Movie Studios in Los Angeles for more than 50 years. Many people refer to them as "Truck Bikes". In fact, these Worksman Classics have even been featured in some big time movies with stars including Cher, Adam Sandler and Goldie Hawn riding them.

More important are the benefits businesses gain from using these bikes to deliver small packages in Urban or campus settings.

See how this young entrepreneur got started using Worksman Low Gravity Delivery Bikes!

Worksman Low Gravity Bikes have a unique "Balance Tru" Steering System whereby the handlebars turn but the huge newly designed standard 24 x 17 x 12" perforated steel basket does not. This allows bulkier loads to be transported. Also, Low Gravity Bikes have the unique built-in parking stand. (for Unisex LG Version, select appropriate frame style in drop down options menu)

Shown are both the LGB (mens style frame) and LGG Unisex style frame). Large front Perforated Steel Basket is standard equipment on the Low Gravity Bicycle. An absolute American and New York Classic Design that we have proudly offered for over 60 years!!!!!!

Worksman Industrial Bikes are proudly made in our Solar Powered New York City (Ozone Park) factory

Doesn't get for American Classic than this!

Worksman Low Gravity - Model LGB
21 years of great service
By
I bought my Worksman LGB in the early 1990's and it continues to haul the groceries to this day. Originally it had a coaster brake, now it has a 3 speed Sturmey-Archer drum brake rear and a Worksman hub brake front wheel. The wheels are the original Worksman rims and spokes and are bulletproof. I weigh 250lbs and haul up to 70lbs. in the basket with no problems. The kickstand that is supplied with the bicycle is the best one on the market. As you load the front basket the bicycle becomes more stable. Great design. I've seen plenty of other cycletrucks with marginally stable or no kickstands. Not good. I love the durability and reliable performance that this bicycle has given over the decades. I use this bicycle daily and it gets lots of miles. I wear out front tires within a year. I highly recommend this bicycle for reliable heavy hauling. If you live in a hilly area be sure to get it with the 3 speed, lower gearing and the front brake option

An old idea that is still good.

I had one of these bikes when I was 14 years old in Los Angeles, CA. I developed a delivery route that served several small businesses and I could get through downtown with much greater ease and speed than any car or truck. That was in 1953. My bike also had a rear luggage rack and panier baskets in addition to the large front basket. It was the perfect vehicle for local delivery.
