TR16-3CB

Compact Tricycle for children with balance issues or other physical challenges. Hand Brake, coaster (foot)brake, THREE SPEE

For a child with adaptive requirements, bike riding is far more than a recreational experience. Bike riding offers a source of much-needed exercise and provides therapeutic value while contributing to an inclusive environment where a child with special needs can ride a bike like everyone else.

Taking the same design features on our famous adult trikes, we recently introduced the all new TR16 Series of Developmental Youth Trikes. The TR16-3CB features a folding frame for easy storage and take-along ability, short frame style with easy step-on, comfortable padded saddle, adjustable handlebars and seat post, rear basket and much more. The sturdy 16"x1.75" wheels give this cycle a low center of gravity for excellent balance. The TR16-3CB features a front caliper (hand) brake and 3 speed ( 3 gears to choose from when pedaling)coaster (foot) brake. Ideal for children ages 3-8. Ships mostly assembled via UPS.

Many upgrades and choices are available to customize your Worksman Tricycle **Notes about Carrying Capacities: While other companies put unfounded inflated weight capacity figures based upon no facts, we at Worksman Cycles actually put weight capacities far less than the true capabilities of the cycles, as we take into consideration not only what the cycle will be able to hold, but what is a safe operational weight. Worksman Industrial Tricycles are simply more durable than other brands and have a 100+ year track record to prove it.

Wonderful trike
By
My daughter loves her new trike. There was just one major issue; the trike arrived with a bent axle. I was told that the axle was bent in shipping, but how such a stout piece of steel could bend without brinelling a bearing is beyond me. However, the customer service department was very good about shipping out a replacement axle and covering the costs of replacing it at a local bike shop.
If I were to make some suggestion: the assembly instructions could use some better photos. I puzzled over the head tube bearing assembly. My father-in-law bought one of the same trikes and had a number of pieces on backwards.
The frame is quite heavy for a child's bike. While sturdy is good, it can make for some difficult peddling up an incline.
The pedals are a little slick and it is easy for shoes to slip on them. Of course, the foot-strap option would help with that.
But overall; love it.
